We have snow, we have clouds, so we made maple syrup cake!! The children did actually. In fact you could hardly believe how nice my day was. We had a tea party lunch, after they had done their school work, then when they finished chores, we ate Maple cake! The table was set with our rose china, and my favorite blue tablecloths were on it. Did I mention it was a surprise for me? Blessing baked the cake.
If you have never had maple cake, you should come for a visit. It's thick and moist and so healthy for you, but you would never know it! (No sugar! you guessed it, just maple syrup.)
Try local syrup, it always tastes better.
